Access from the B&B Hotel Marilena in Arabba: by the cable car of Porta Vescovo

In the variety of hikes available in this area, there is a very particular one that crosses the part of the Dolomites known as the High Alps of Ornella (Monti Alti di Ornella). It’s a spectacular circle tour of medium length and difficulty that leads from Porta Vescovo to the Padon Pass, that includes 18 stations dedicated to various geological and botanical aspects of the area. The complete hike requires 7-8 hours and is absolutely worth trying, yet it is also available in a partial version.
